Volunteering

Do you want to help?

Many people have come forward to offer assistance following the recent flood and fire events.

The most effective result for those affected by the floods can be achieved with good coordination, so please contact the Hotlines if you can offer assistance with clean up tasks. The skills of individuals and groups will then be matched with the greatest areas of need.

Lifeline Gippsland

Lifeline Gippsland provides a 24 hour telephone counselling, information and referral service to the people of Gippsland.  This year, Lifeline volunteer telephone counsellors will answer around 10,000 calls, proof that people of Gippsland do need someone to call anytime, anywhere.

Lifeline Gippsland is almost entirely self-funded and generates the majority of income for its service provision from its ‘charity recycling' operations.  Lifeline Gippsland's volunteer counsellors undertake specialist training – please contact the Lifeline Gippsland office on 5134 8278 for details of our next training course.  Volunteers for Lifeline charity shops are still needed.
